About Us

Super Rad Art Jam started with a group of local artists who saw a need in the Grand Junction community to support the art departments in area schools. In an effort to raise funds for art supplies, an art exhibition was held at Higher Grounds Coffee. Patrons of the show were enthusiastic for the cause and community support and interest grew.

Super Rad Art Jam expanded soon after with an annual high school art exhibition at the Mesa Mall. This encourages students to create portfolio work and provides experience for gallery exhibitions. Other annual events include Mural Jam, a Senior Show and Open House and Portfolio Review, Illustration-a-Thon, a trip to Anderson Ranch Arts Center in the fall, Art Camp in the summer, Scholarship Program for students at Anderson Ranch Arts Center for summer workshops, and monthly middle school art exhibitions in the public library.

Beyond these events, Super Rad provides materials and supplies to the art programs as requested, art based workshops, and further support as needed.

Naomi has been teaching art in the Grand Valley for over 15 years. She is a gifted artist, specializing in drawing and painting.

As a local tattoo and mural artist, Jason has been bringing art and culture to Grand Junction for nearly 20 years.

Bryan is a professional artist, illustrator and graphic designer with over 25 years of experience.

JESS RIGGEntrepreneur

Jess is a Grand Junction artist and entrepreneur, combining his skills to build success in well-known businesses such as Loki and Hoptocopter Films.
